HARD PLASTIC SWEET SUE DOLLS

The Sweet Sue dolls, one of the most beloved dolls ever produced and at one time sought after by most collectors.  Now, you can add an almost mint doll to your collections for a fraction of what she sold for in her prime.  The hard plastic Sweet Sues were produced from 1948 until 1956.  The early dolls were strung, later, the dolls became walkers.

American Character began producing the Sweet Sue Sophistic dolls in 1957 and advertised as a "peaches and cream complexion".  This was a vinyl technology that was unique to American Character's Sweet Sue Sophisticates and later their Toni dolls.  These dolls were vinyl and can be found in and had a more mature body style complete with feet designed for high heeled shoes.  These dolls were available in either a 14" or 20" size and were only produced for one year.

Unless otherwise stated, all dolls are in known original American Character outfits.

Do you have a Sweet Sue doll that you would like to see added to our collect?  Contact me to find out how your doll can be featured in our Museum!!
I hope you enjoy our collection of Sweet Sue dolls.
