Saucy Walker - 1950s
This is an 18" Saucy Walker doll. When you moved her legs to make her walk, her head turns from side-to-side. She is in her original blue cotton dress with pink shoes and white nylon socks. The show will be marked Ideal Toy Company on the bottoms. From the collection of D. Donally.
Shirley Temple
One of the best loved child stars, Shirley Temple dolls have withstood the test of time. The Ideal Toy and Novelty Company began producing the Shirley Temple dolls in the 1930s and continued to produce them right up until they closed their doors in the The first doll appeared on the store shelves in 1989. Jody - 1974
Jody was introduced by Ideal in 1974. She came dressed in a variety of outfits, including the one shown below. Jody also had many accessories including a country store playset. Jody features long red hair that fell to the floor (if you are thinking the same red as Crissy then you are probably correct). Her cotton skirt and blouse are very well made.
