MAGIC ATTIC MEGAN - ADVENTURE COSTUMES

ABOUT MEGAN

Megan was introduced by the Georgetown Collection in 1995 along with a nightgown and bedroom set and three costumes (complete with accessories) that were specific to her.  Each of her costumes relates to one of her books.  Her first costumes were the princess costume from Princess Megan, the cowgirl outfit from Cowgirl Megan, and the ski costume from Downhill Megan.   In 1996 the book Megan's Masquerade was introduced along with a very colorful Masquerade dress and masks. Megan was given a shiny new gymnast costume complete with balance beam coincide with her new book Megan's Balancing Act for 1997.  In 1998, Megan was given a classical Greek Goddess outfit to complement her new book, Megan in Ancient Greece.  Megan was also given a brightly colored Rainforest outfit complete with monkey to go with her book Megan and the Borealis Butterfly.   Please enjoy the photos of Megan and her outfits below!

DOWNHILL MEGAN
Megan is modeling her ski outfit from the book Downhill Megan.  The outfit included the Ski Jacket, pants, sweater, mittens and boots, the other accessories were all sold separately.  Other accessories included Megan's little husky puppy, skis, ski boots and poles are another accessory.  The wooden sled pictured below was available during 1995 and again in  2000.  The adorable little Après ski boots were sold separately, but sure do complete her outfit.  Doll, costumes and accessories are from the collection of D. Donally.

COWGIRL MEGAN

Below are photos of Megan in her Cowgirl costume.  The first set of photos are of the shirt and jacket produced for the 1994 catalogs.  The shirt is long sleeved and has fringe.  The jack is pleather, has a soft lining inside, and fringe on the outside.  The gold mesh is also small and closer together.  The skirt shown is the cotton skirt produced in 1995 and beyond.  This outfit had an original skirt made of the same pleather as the jacket. The boots found with this outfit are trimmed with a gold paint along the seams.

The second set of photos is of the Cowgirl Outfit that is more commonly found and is made of cotton.  Note the shirt has changed to short sleeve and the fringe has disappeared from the outfit.  The "fringe" used on the jacket is now different and the jacket is made of cotton not pleather.  The gold mesh on the clothing is now a little wider, as well.  The boots for this outfit are no longer trimmed with the gold paint.

Also pictured below are the accessories that came with this outfit, from the fabulous guitar to the pitchfork for the hay.  We are only missing the lasso, which has been an elusive piece and turning out to be harder to find than you would think.   Doll, costume and accessories are from the collection of D. Donally.

MEGAN'S BALANCING ACT
Megan's Balancing Act was introduced in 1997.  Here she is showing off her leotard, a gold scrunchie and the slippers which complete this outfit.  The satiny gym bag, towel and scrunchies are an accessory that was available separately.  The trampoline and gym mat accessories that were available in 1997 and 2000.  Doll, costume and accessories from the collection of D. Donally.
